This week has been full of school spirit! We have had 5 days of spirit days that include jersey day, decades day, formal day, disney day and House colors day! Each day students and staff are given house points for dressing up and participating in the spirit day.
Our back to school dance (Neon Lights) was a huge hit, students didn't want to leave at the end! We had numerous teachers come to chaperon and some even busted a move. The students were dancing and socializing in a safe and fun environment! A big shout out to Ms. Bentley and Ms. Day for working so hard on making the first dance of the year AMAZING (not to mention the wonderful neon outfits)!
As we move forward through out the year the staff has been hard at work developing and finalizing our vision and mission in order to have a grounding that will support the development of our goals, the implementation of Common Core and using data to continue to improve not only academia, but school culture, safety, and community involvement. The staff worked on the flipped PD that included a variety of youtube videos and reflective questions and ideas around what we want students at MSMS to be able to do and act when they leave on to not only the HS but to college and career.
